Thanks, guys! Primemovermithrax Pejorative, I really like your “three bums discovering another dimension” idea; that seems fairly Serling-esque, too. Would the “Masks” variation have the same twist? mszanadu, I’d never even heard of those movies, but they do seem pretty TZ/ OL-esque. I see that The Twonky was based on a ‘40s short story, and many TZ episodes were taken from similar sources—so maybe it could have been an episode if they hadn’t made the movie first. It looks like The Flight that Disappeared is more like The Outer Limits, as you said, but the airplane thing seems like Serling; so many airplanes in The Twilight Zone, as we’ve mentioned before! I had an idea a little while back and have now forgotten it completely, worse luck, but I just thought of a possible plot where astronauts go through some kind of disturbance, an Apollo 13-like situation, and have to return to Earth—except that they find Earth is different, in very subtle ways, from the way they recall it. One of them convinces the others that they’ve actually ended up on an alternate world and can’t trust anyone…and I can’t think of a good twist. But the situation works, I think, even if it’s a bit too similar to real TZs.
