Calling each other old friend and such, then going into his home secretly. Betrayal.
So why did Xavier try to kill Magneto when he took over Sabertooth? Just because they were friends back in the day doesn’t mean they are now.
Them teaming up and being on the same side then switching the machine around instead of getting Xavier out. Betrayal.
Except they didn’t team up. Magneto simply forced his presence on them and they couldn’t do anything about it. He made no promises to save Xavier.
He didn't want the cure at all because "he knew" that it would be used against mutants indiscriminately. Also, he walked into Jean's home under a truce. Then, instead of trying to calm her down, he riles her up until she kills Xavier.
So in other words the humans didn’t do anything.
What do you mean by truce? They went in there together because they couldn’t stop Magneto from going in. Xavier even says he doesn’t want him there.
He helps Apocalypse get to Xavier. Through the prequels they aren't really enemies. It all comes down to Xavier not letting Magneto go down a dark path. So, yes, Magneto, who has been said to not be brainwashed by Apocalypse, is betraying his "friend".
Not enemies? Xavier straight up hated him in DOFP.
