POLL: Best films of Steven Spielberg

Perhaps because it is a bit bland in presentation, and doesn't exactly hold the easiest replay value factor for many.


Yes, finally I come across a super cool person who thinks SL is bland!   I did not like that movie one bit.  It was both bland and boring and overlong and pretentious, and I thought it was one of those all-too obvious Oscar baiters, by the King of Hollywood, no less, Steven Speilberg, who won everything that year.   I know it's a very serious theme that should be not outright be mocked, but, like that super smart lady, Pauline Kael, once said (actually I think she said it many times, but...)  and that is that great subject matter or a great theme for a movie does not always translate into a great movie.   She didn't like SL, either!
