The first DVDs I ever bought, in preparation for getting a DVD player, were Season 7 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Part 1 & 2 and Season 4 of Angel Parts 1 and 2 (as the seasons were split into two halves back then). Up until that point I'd had all the seasons of both shows on video.
