No. He got a new phone (and disposed of the old one) after he was assured that the NFL didn’t need it in their investigation. This is confirmed by the fact that the investigation interviewed him shortly after he swapped phones (unbeknownst to them) and they never asked him for the phone. The only reason the NFL even knew about the old phone is because it was included in a document provided by Brady’s legal team. Only then did it become an object of paramount importance. In order to be a good Patriots fan, you need to be able to discern the facts from the fables. There’s a lot of misinformation being bandied about by butt-hurt fans of other loser teams. It’s a minor inconvenience, considering the upside to being a fan of the greatest team to ever play the game. Shall I pencil you in, or do you have some more questions? According to the Wells report
As a pending Patriots fan you'll be happy to learn that the verdict by the independent science community is that the Wells report amounts to little more than scientific fraud. And that verdict is unanimous! Oh, don't worry about that. They ruled solely on the labor dispute aspect of the case, which Brady lost due to a poorly written players contract. And even though the suspension might have felt like a miscarriage of justice at the time, it's all good now. We got a wonderful season out of it, the greatest Superbowl victory in NFL history and the most gratifying moment ever when the commissioner had to hand Tom Brady the Lombardi trophy! ... for the second time in three years! Believe me, it doesn't get much better than that!!! If you're going to join the bandwagon, you better jump on now. We only have 5 more years.
