Where's anybody's authority to do anything? That was my point. No, your point was that "Abuse appears everywhere. Asking if I have "any evidence it appears in religious organizations more than anywhere else?" To which the answer still remains that one might reasonably expect any adherents of a moral religion or philosophy of life to lead by example, rather than being conspicuous by their hypocrisy. I hope that helps. But if you are now really suggesting that the authority of the church is irrelevant, then perhaps I ought to agree with you, since the child abusers within various faiths only seem to pay it lip service in this context. I believe it has escaped your attention that leadership is necessary even when one in ten thousand leaders proves unworthy of the task. This leaves you without a point to make. Or would you like to try to make one now?
