Stallone and all his co-stars from that series are in fine shape for men their age. Their ages weren't the problem with the Expendables films. It was how they were executed.
The action sequences weren't well-choreographed. Stallone and Statham take up too much screen time. There's no great on-liners or really any fun quips between the characters. At least they got the villains right.
