I'll go minimalist and say this is one of the best scenes ever:
Specifically starting around :42. This is Batman. If a film with a score playing could sum up the feeling of a Batman comic book cover, or even the ideal of Batman himself, this is it. Batman watches over Gotham like a gargoyle, a spirit of good sent to strike fear into the evil that plagues his city.
