but it wasn't surprising 'cause we all knew he was leaving the show and I kinda think it was more surprising that he lasted another season 'cause I thought for sure he would have been killed off by Prometheus or Talia on the island in the final episode of Season 5 but I feel they will use Quinton's death now to solidify Black Siren's turn to the good side and Black Siren will be out to get revenge on Ricardo Diaz next season for killing her Father. 
If somebody is going to die on Supergirl it has to be Mon El. That little turd needs to die for sending Amy Jackson away and leaving her for Kara.
No. He is definitely not one of the writers for the show
and I think the reason they kept him around for so long was 'cause Marc and Wendy liked the actor and didn't want to get rid of him after they killed Laurel off and had Sara leave and join the cast of 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' but I think he was just hanging around most of the time as a background character who was there to be there and after Laurel died he didn't really have much of a purpose on the show. They tried to give him a purpose by pairing him up with Thea in Season 5 but I don't think that went the way they planned and the actress who played Thea was busy working on another show at the time so what could have been more of a longer storyline was dropped and then they put him with Black Siren this season. Amy Jackson will be back and I know for a fact she is going to appear in the final episode.
