The Bounty (1984) - fine book by Richard Hough
Titanic (1997) - read a few, the one by Walter Lord the most accessible
Black Hawk Down (2001) - Bowden's book is just as brilliant as the film
Glory (1989) - read a few about the events in this fine film, which were not very good, but they led me to read more about the Civil War overall, books by Bruce Catton and the novel The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara
Apollo 13 (1995) - I read the book by Lovell and about a dozen others about the space program, fascinating reading
