This one (on a big screen at the Stanford Theatre in Palo Alto, CA): I've gotta be honest and admit that one of my main reasons for going to see this classic was the opportunity to hear Bernard Herrmann's magnificent score in theatrical stereo...but the rest of the movie isn't too shabby either.  (Hey, when I applauded Mr. Herrmann's name when it appeared among the opening titles, I was far from alone. And yes, I do applaud/cheer/jeer at movies in a theater...so sue me.  ) IMNSHO, North by Northwest is one of those classics that show you why movies had to be--and deserved to be--invented. It's that great.
