If you like the films of Charlie Kaufman, David Fincher, Michel Gondry and David Lynch, you will love this. And I promise you, even if it seems like a crazy surreal psychedelic mess (albeit a very entertaining one) it will make sense (don't give up after the first few episodes). It was created by Noah Hawley who's also responsible for 'Fargo' and was produced by the 'X-Men', 'Deadpool' and 'Logan' producers (which makes sense because it's a Marvel story from the X-Men universe).
Sorry, just needed to get this out of my system (the latest episode is simply one of the best I've ever seen, from any TV-show).
David Fincher and David Lynch, though. Love their movies, and I like a lot of Charlie Kaufman's stuff too. DEADPOOL is one of the best, most entertaining superhero flicks, I have seen all the X-Men movies and I am really, really looking forward to watching LOGAN.
Also, you are not on the wrong board for this thread. More posts like this will help keep Film General alive.

And I agree with you: there are so many above average shows out there right now you really have to pick and choose the ones that are most appealing to you. I was honestly a bit on the fence about 'Legion' until episode 5 which is where it really kicks into high gear, and it was only episode 7 which just completely blew my mind.
Btw, 'Hap and Leonard' is also among my faves, can't wait to start season 2 (that show also surprised me when it shifted gears and completely changed the pacing by the time episodes 4 and 5 came around). You'll probably really enjoy 'Logan'; personally I loved it because it's just such a normal, almost "low-key" movie. A simple story with simple characters we really get to care about which are thrown into some less than simple situations (and because they happen to have claws and other superpowers, bloody mayhem ensues
).I really miss the old Film General board (generally the IMDb boards) because you could just pose a question or post a topic and within seconds you got an a response - because there was such a large community of film fans (and I never minded the trolls). If you wanted to know when a review embargo for a film was supposed to lift or get any other kind of info, you had the required answer within minutes.
But I like this place so far, and I hope more and more people will eventually make their way here.
