That^ was the only 'good' part of the episode, I thought.
The Dean/Michael vs Lucifer fight on wires was...not so good.
I questioned Michael's (in Dean's body) choice of hat at the end.

It worked for Sean Connery's character, Malone, in The Untouchables...I'm not sure if it worked so well for Jensen Ackles.

I was surprised - and relieved - that Mary managed to survive (I realise I'm probably one of the few who feels this way), as I've been expecting the show to off her again ever since they brought her back.
This didn't really feel like a 'season final' to me. The earlier seasons' finals felt far more 'epic'. Can't say I'm anxiously awaiting the next season, but hopefully Jensen Ackles gets to have some fun with playing Michael and they don't undo it as quickly as they undid Demon Dean (Deanmon?).
I think 'Scoobynatural' was probably the most enjoyable episode of the season for me personally.
Yeah. I agree with you for the most part Chalice. The ending was disappointing but I didn't mind this season. I thought it was a lot better than some of the previous seasons of 'Supernatural' and I liked the additions of Jack and the alternate universes, the heaven is imploding storyline, Gabriel, Charlie (alt) and Bobby (alt) returning and the alternate universe version of Michael. I have been saying for years they should bring Michael back 'cause he is the most powerful of all archangels and was the one who kicked Lucifer out of heaven but I thought they would have had the crazy Michael in the cage return and want to become the new God. I am curious at to where they are heading with these storylines next season. The alternate universes give them a chance to bring a lot of old characters back and I read Crowley could be in an episode next season and I think it would be fun if they went with a good Crowley who is a hero 'cause it would be different than what we have seen with the character before and I would also like to see different versions of Ruby and Jo. One thing that is certain Chuck is coming back. The actor confirmed it not long ago and I think both God and Amara will come back to stop Michael and one of them will go up to heaven at the end to stop it from imploding and all the souls crashing down to earth. With no Lucifer or Gabriel they are the only two who are powerful enough to stop Michael and take him out of Dean's body without killing Dean.
With the 'Wayward Daughters' spinoff not happening now I heard parts of the spinoff are going to be integrated into 'Supernatural' now and characters like Claire and Alex will be appearing more which makes sense with Dean possessed by Michael. Sam and Castiel are going to need all the help he can get.
