In a last minute attempt to avoid that their home planet is destroyed, a highly technological skilled alien species must put their trust in that the stunning Celeste (Kim Basinger) might be able of finding a permanent solution for their problems by taking a trip down to earth. There she soon will fall into the life of a lonely single dad and eccentric scientist named Dr. Steve Mills (Dan Aykroyd) who is also in a desperate need of being saved, well from his boring and chaotic life that is, much to his own daughters dismay.
One of my favorite 80s sci-fi comedies which features a smokin' hot Kim Basinger in the role of a female alien in search of the key to save her planet but who instead ends up falling in love with a human and things end up taking a certain twist and turn when her secret identity comes out of hiding.
An enjoyable feel-good movie which also stars Dan Aykroyd, Jon Lovitz, Joseph Maher and the two future Buffy the Vampire Slayer stars Alyson Hannigan and Seth Green.
