In those 3 sports combined there have been 3 instances of repeat champions, and that's if you count the 2000 Yankees (04-05 Pats and 16-17 Penguins are the other 2). NBA has had 19 completed seasons for 8 champions with 4 instances of repeat champions. You have to go all the way back to 1982-3 to reach 11 different champions. In that same time span 21 teams have won the WS, 17 have won the Stanley Cup and 15 have won the SB. The facts speak for themselves.
