And that is EXACTLY how he has misapplied the dictionary definition. The Christians he is accusing are SAYING that their moral beliefs now accept homosexuality, and they act according to what they SAY, so that is not being hypocritical. And the fact that they publicly reject the "traditional" Christian view of homosexuality means that they have abandoned that teaching and qualify (from the narrator's view) as apostates. Your narrator is ignorant.
You’re the ignorant one. How the hell can they be apostates if they still very much profess to be Christians? These people consider themselves sincere commited believers yet at the same time accept homosexuality, despite the bible, old & New Testament repeatedly condemning that lifestyle. In other words they’re either insincere to begin with or they’re guilty of picking and choosing what they want to believe. This makes them hypocrites. CaptainBryce is what you would call an apostate. Gadreel falls in the hypocrite category. No, Gadreel is not a hypocrite because Gadreel practices what he preaches and believes in what he practices.
