If I hadn't read that DET. O'REILLY was going to be on this show before seeing the 1st episode, I would've been shocked at her absence. Without spoiling anything, let's just say that in the comics she was almost a co-lead with the title characters. I was wondering how the show would introduce her (in the comics, she meets the title characters because she investigates her vigilante acts, but they haven't done that in the show yet) and then I saw this episode. Bravo!
The soundtrack still isn't convincing me, especially Overcoats' LEAVE THE LIGHT ON.
She literally has one line. The rest of the time, there's no dialogue. That makes her stand out, which is admirable considering we're seeing just her daily routine and considering this is a show with people with superpowers. Those who aren't familiar with the character will probably sense her importance anyway.
By the way, since she's played by Emma Lahana, I thought "When is she going to morph? Her powers will be of good use for this story."The soundtrack still isn't convincing me, especially Overcoats' LEAVE THE LIGHT ON.
I mean, the lyrics say "Now you see me, now you don't" when CLOAK teleports. Isn't it a little too on the nose?
