The first 2 are. Battle of the Five Armies is just okay imo. I liked 5 Armies more than the second one which was near ruined by the elf/dwarf romance. I also saw no point in them ending the movie with a silly cliffhanger. We had to listen to a lot of dragon monologuing, we should have seen the total payoff. The first one is my favorite though. I love the dragon monologuing (I could have watched him pace and talk for an entire movie), I like the elf romance and I like the cliffhanger. My problem with Battle is that the writing and directing of the first 30 minutes is very clunky and the fact that the movie offers nothing new. The first one is my favorite too. |
