Sad, sad excuse for a director? What have you done lately? His imagination and passion as regards his first three movies is bursting at the seams, and "Heavenly Creatures" is an excellent, A-list movie. Not to mention Jackson won some Oscars. Ha ha, ho ho... Jackson gets to have it BOTH ways. Though I do enjoy wondering if those who lauded him for his more recent award winning movies have ever seen "Dead Alive" or "Meet the Feebles". They would crap their pants. My vote would be a tie: "Meet the Feebles" and "Dead Alive" You need to reword your OP. Peter Jackson is an excellent film director whom YOU don't particularly like. Yes, because I am sure there are no critically acclaimed directors you don't think are good. The OP likes to take jabs at stuff she doesn't like. We all do that, it's just that you are being a hypocrite in this case because you disagree. I say this as a fan of Peter Jackson. Let the OP have that jab. We all know what it feels like to hate something that most people like. I wasn't sure if the OP was being sarcastic, or if she generally didn't like Jackson, but she has confirmed in a later response. She really did need to give a little bit more insight though, than just a projected, and insipid cheap personal jab at Jackson. dirtypillows has made some interesting points and called her out on this. It was her thread. Opinion is all subjective anyway and dirtypillows made an interesting point about his earlier work, when most people tend to base their opinion of him based on his Rings and Hobbit films only.
