Bryan Singer returned to make the best Xmen film to date after First Class. And if he had his motivation and licence to do what he wanted, Apocalypse would have bettered DOFP.
DOFP where Magneto stuck the train tracks up the Sentinels giving him total control of them without anyone knowing and he controlled the complex electronics and even when he was distracted? That is not the best X-Men film.
