ghostbusters 2016 not working: #metoo.
with ghostbsuters original it never really registered with me [growing up or now] that i was watching MEN. i knew i was watching men but they were more or less relatable. the only smarmy one was Venkman but even with that smarminess you still get the impression that he 'would be there for you if you needed him'. all the others were gentlemen while possessing different characteristics that made them different kinds of gentlemen.
with 2016 remake [?] you get the tech overflow. do you really need lights and star trek things to catch ghosts? i will admit i have yet to see it. i have just rented the dvd from Netflix so i can get back to you soon on this.
i know they wanted to do a remake/reboot of the franchise and was so saddened when Egon died so it was good that they rebooted it with different people and ladies to boot. it would not be a good direction to use Egon as a ghost of any sort. sorry. i am glad they didn't' do that.
