He was in a lot of good movies. A Man Called Horse 1970, was one of those movies that I remember "everyone should see", mainly because of a ritualistic scene that everyone talked about. I thought it was a good movie. Shake Hands with the Devil 1959, one of his first movies, acting with James Cagney and Dana Wynter. I've not seen 'Shake Hands With The Devil' but 'A Man Called Horse' inspired adventure specialist Umberto Lenzi's 'Deep River Savages' (1972), the Italian film most often credited with having birthed the "cannibale" subgenre, so it's an important and influential work for horror fans.
