I learned a long time ago that Ric Flair is not a very good source. In this case, I would take WWE's word over his especially since he is not involved with signing talent or anything else backstage.

This too. I never bother listening to Flair, Hogan, or Hart as they either are all about themselves or they just ramble on and on without really knowing what they're talking about in regards to the current product.
