Good Bad Ugly For a Few Dollars More with that said... there is a four way tie for my #1 Western ever with the two I mentioned along with Once Upon a Time in the West and Open Range (2003) as those four movies make up four out of the nine movies I gave a 10/10. so while it was a difficult choice, I think ill go with the two I voted for as they are paced a bit better. p.s. while in this poll they are tied, my hunch is that Good Bad Ugly is noticeably more popular than Once Upon a Time in the West on a mainstream level. also, I would assume Good Bad Ugly is that directors most popular movie with the masses. but after that I think it's a bit less certain on what's the #2 spot and so on.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- with that said, that director has four gems... 1.Good Bad Ugly - 10/10 -.For a Few Dollars More -.Once Upon a Time in the West 4.Once Upon a Time in America - 8/10 in fact, I doubt there is another director who can challenge Sergio Leone for me when looking at about a Top 5 level of movies given by himself he makes up 1/3rd of my 10/10's (i.e. 3 out of 9) in general. other directors would basically be lucky to have one 10/10 and in general would top out in the 9/10 range if not lower. p.s. but Duck You Sucker/A Fistful of Dollars is a 2/10 for me as they are boring. for the record... I used to think A Fistful of Dollars was basically top notch (i.e. 9/10) until Oct 10th 2014 it dropped off a cliff and I could not even finish watching it due to boredom. that's THE largest swing in score I am aware of for me as that seems to be sort of a anomaly as there are a very limited amount of those in general where it stands out in a fluke sort of way.
