confidence? yes by all means.
arrogance? no.
the most successful people i have had the privilege to meet, become friends and/or worked with were some of the most humble people I know.
Contrary to popular opinion arrogance is not needed in order to get ahead, get recognized or be successful. i honestly cannot see a situation where arrogance would be justified/needed/correct to apply.
I can see people being assertive, standing up for themselves, or openly confident as useful. but arrogant? no.
now the only area i would take out of this is COMEDY / when done by professional comedians. some stand up comedians have arrogant on/stage persona and there its fine. but off stage it has to go.
