Laura, by far—indeed, it’s the only one I’d rather as a truly great film. (Not exactly a big Preminger fan.) My other votes for A Royal Scandal and Bunny Lake is Missing, though. (I haven’t seen many of the early post- Laura noirs.) I’ve always found it solid but vastly overrated compared to his best work |
