Isn’t it too early in the year to be predicting the Best Picture nominees? Granted, the ratings for the Oscars have been declining so much recently that I could see them nominating what will most likely end up being the biggest domestic hit of 2018 for Best Picture, if only so that more people would tune in. yes its their midyear preview of the Oscar films so far. Most of the big hitters have not premiered yet , so it could be squeezed out. But Hollywood might nominate for political reasons anyway. If they do nominate it, it’ll be a ratings stunt more than anything else.
