Supergirl (both Linda and Kara) are very different in the comic books as I am sure I have told you before and Supergirl has flown people up into the sky and dropped them and caught them right before they fell and used her heat vision to burn them until they have told her what she needed to know. She has also ripped people's heads off with her two hands and kissed decapitated heads in front of other people while they freaked out to see what happened to them.
Gosh and people wonder why the CW or CBS didn't go with that version of the character for a show aimed at teens and young girls.
Although blimey do I want to see a DC animated movie of THAT Supergirl because it sounds brilliant.
