Don't worry. I have seen the pictures of the final episode and a trailer for it and both Saturn Girl and Braniac 5 return. I think it must get to a point where they are outnumbered and Mon El contacts them and asks them to come back and help 'cause I can't see any other reason for them to return. What is really interesting is Amy has told fans she is going to be in the next season so I am curious to how they have her (and possibly Braniac 5) stay around. My guess is they come back to help and get stuck here and can't go back to the future. Hopefully they use this to give her the red and white costume and make her Saturn Girl!!

She returned alright for 5 fucking minutes and they didn't even say goodbye to her.

It was a blink and you'll miss it appearance because they were too busy showing Winn leaving. Did anybody say goodbye to Imra? How insulting was that?
