This is surprising. Apparently Jodie Foster is in talks to have a leading role in the show.

Jodie Foster is in talks with FX to star as Jennifer Brown in their planned Y: The Last Man television series, according to The Hashtag Show. In Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra's comic book series, Jennifer Brown is a U.S. Representative and mother to York Brown.
Y: The Last Man has been in development at FX since 2015, with a pilot from director Melina Matsoukas ordered back in April.
If cast, this would be Foster's first regular television role since 1974's Paper Moon.
