I just finished and it was VERY good. Much better than the first season. This is one of the rare times with these shows that the 13 episodes did not drag. Interesting. I thought season 1 was a bore and I didn't like the first episode of season 2, either. I'll watch a few more episodes and drop it if it doesn't improve. I enjoy the character of Luke Cage and his supporting cast, but the story itself is stale. The villains are generic gangsters and there's no real internal struggle for Luke. For example, Daredevil struggles with the morality of his actions, Jessica Jones struggles with addiction and mental trauma, and Punishers copes with extreme PTSD. Luke believes in himself and what he's doing; the best the writers can come up with is him not wanting to profit off his own name (which is just dumb). And let me just say... I hate Shades. The character sucks, the actor sucks, the name sucks. Shades. He wears sunglasses and his name is Shades. I don't care if he's in the comics, he sucks. He fucking sucks. lol Don't mince words. What do you really think? |
