The MCU is essentially one long comic series, so killing a character off in this series doesn't mean they can never make a movie on them again. It just means they're dead in this particular arc.

That sentence implies that Rick Jones's first appearance was in a Captain Marvel comic book. Every comic book fan knows he first appeared in The Incredible Hulk.
