In regards to splitting the last Harry Potter book into two movies:
It needed to happen. The last book was pretty fucking big and if you condensed it into one movie you would be cutting a lot of it out as well as rushing the story.
I understand why some people may dislike the whole two parter for movies, but sometimes it is required.
