Well, this worries me. You know, the original concept for Wonder Woman was going to be a Braveheart-esqe 3+ hour war epic that took place in history. Then they fired the director and brought in Patty Jenkins. I believe she did a great job with what she was given, minus the final 20 minutes of the film.
However, this picture gives me Marvel vibes. Which isn't good for my taste. As I have stated before I have only seen Iron Man 1 and The Incredible Hulk and those films aren't my taste.
I am worried DC is trying to just copy Marvel's formula completely. If Suicide Squad had a better plot and made Leto Joker the main antagonist, I think it's tone was perfect. Not too dark, not too campy. Man of Steel had a great tone to it.
It's just a picture, but the casting says it all. Kristen Wiig? Why? That has MARVEL FORMULA written all over it. Plus, they are trying to cash in on the 1980s Nostalgia (ala "It" "Stranger Things" "Guardians of the Galaxy" etc...)
