I can sort of see the idea of giving Africa more slots, regardless of performances this WC. But Asia ? Anymore than 5 and you are scraping the bottom of the barrel. Iran, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Saudi Arabia qualified this time. The next “rung” is Syria, UAE, China and Uzbekistan.
