That was definitely the best element of the film. Though when he puts her on a flash drive and it's outright announced "if this gets broken, you're dead", it takes some of the tension and shock value away because you're immediately thinking "well, that's getting broken." I actually thought it was too obvious that it would get broken that i expected them to NOT break it. Then it fell out during the fight and i thought 'really?'. Same here. I almost thought it could be a subversion until he dropped it in the car. At that point, it was playing out as a typical "setup/reminder/payoff" so she was toast. I do appreciate how the film made me care more about the fate of a flash drive than the main character for awhile there, though.
