My biggest issue with this movie is I only care about one character - Joi. For no known reason I just think she lights up the movie when she's there.
I would actually tilt toward disliking the movie if not for her character and how she interacts with the main character which makes me empathize with him.
Otherwise it's too glib and lacks a personal touch and, oddly enough, the stakes don't seem too important despite the enormity of what is realized.
