You're correct politicidal , McFarlane wants the first movie to be focused on Sam and Twitch as they investigate unusual crimes on the streets. What McFarlane described is it being something along the lines of "Jaws" in a way - Sam and Twitch are like Brody and Hooper, and Spawn is like the shark. Movie will start out being "grounded" as possible then slowly leading into the fantastic, sequel should focus entirely on Spawn.
