At this point, the damage to Luke/Han/Leia is severe and can't be undone. They should just leave Lando alone, not bother bringing anymore legacy characters into the movies, and really just branch out into stories not involving Lucas' stories. The training wheels/safety net of using nostalgia and Lucas' work will not keep them going the distance - especially when they mishandle the legacy of the characters.
In my opinion, that is the only way for the franchise to maybe recover...Disney really fucked it up to be blunt. I'm not much for using obscenities but it's honestly the truth.
