Pros: It continues to follow the Donner Superman Formula.

Superman II he loses his powers to live a normal life and be with Lois. Peter loses his powers to live a normal life with MJ.

Superman gets his powers back and cannot be with Lois. Peter gets his powers back and cannot be with MJ.

It continues in Superman III. Evil Superman vs Good Superman. Black Spider-Man vs Good Spider-Man. lol.
