Pros:
- Great action set pieces and CGI effects. A vast improvement over the original movie in this regard.
- Doc Ock proves to be an intimidating foe.
- James Franco delivers a memorable performance.
Cons:
- Doc Ock is somewhat lacking in the personality and charisma department.
- The showdown at the end where Peter has to save Mary Jane YET AGAIN feels very "been there, done that!"
- Again, the love story elements are overwrought.
