The movie with Albert Finney is almost as frustrating as the 'Big Sleep' have been meaning to read the novel and sort this thing out for awhile.
Kenneth Branagh is working on a new film version of it, scheduled to be released on November 22, 2017. I will make a point of reading the book before seeing it.
