Its a perfect comment from him. It means he understands how to play against these teams that just defend all game hoping for a counter chance.
Roy had no idea. Southgate does have a clear plan and its ver similar to Pochs, and why not. Just copy that style - Its what england managers used to do when Man U were the best team in england(with english players) as well.(chelsea are clearly better than Tot - but they do not have enough english players to play in that mould)
forget this slow international game(like what roy did). Get it back to PL styled play - fast - get round the back, seek the gaps. move the teams that come to wembley with two double decker buses stacked in there own half all over the place.

When I saw scotlands game - It only made me think Southgate's team is even better - we did look like a top 6 PL team compared to rest in our group.
