Granted, we were the better team against Germany, but Germany were terrible and I can only remember us creating one decent chance that fell to Alli. And let's not forget we lost that game.
And Lithuania, well, I fell asleep at HT but I don't remember seeing too much to get excited about. Good work by Sterling for Defoe's goal, but that is down to individual skill rather than anything Southgate did.
And also, we only drew 0-0 against Slovenia under Southgate, and we deserved to lose (albeit away from home)! Scotland beat them and pounded them (apparently), so I don't know how that game makes us look "even better".
