They are all passages omitted from most modern English translations. Beyond that, I see no connection between them. OK, let's take Matthew 17 which in the KJV has 27 verses. The New World Translation has 26 verses, but numbers 22-27 correspond to KJV 22-27. Why put "====" for 17:21, why not renumber 17:22 KJV to 17:21 (NWT). Why not number them 1-26 instead of 1-20; 22-27? Verse numbering, which of course was not a part of the original writings or early copies, had already been largely universally adopted by the time corrections to translations occurred. It would be easier for all/most translations to keep the same numbering than it would be to have people remember two different verse locations for the same scripture.
