Okay: so you're sitting in front of the TV, bored but not sleepy, and you're looking around for something to watch. Some channel is running one of your favorite films - already well in progress - and you switch over and watch it to the end...even though you have a perfectly beautiful DVD or Blu-ray of the same film on the shelf, for which you spent good money, that you could pop into the machine and watch from the beginning.
But you don't.
You remain there instead and keep watching the broadcast's remaining 62 minutes - or 37 minutes - or 23 minutes - or whatever.
