Back in the 80's, I used to go to a Japanese steakhouse in Highland, Indiana (right outside Chicago) called Kobe's, it served the famous Kobe steaks and they were cooked at your table. It was delicious and I'm not a steak eater.
Sorry to inform you BUT you were NOT eating Kobe steak back then. It was ILLEGAL to import Kobe beef to the US in those days. IF they claimed they were they were LYING.
