He'll play. He has to prove he's healthy and a leader. Even if his feeling is he can just go to L.A. after the year. He's a punk. He either punked out on his team - or he's hiding how serious his injury may be (and somebody correct me if I'm wrong - he had to pass a physical for the trade to go through) - nobody knows because he never talks which was commendable at first - but not commendable with all the drama last year and this nonsense. Open your mouth - defend yourself and your actions. Prediction - He falls flat on his face this year in Toronto. Granted he's with an All-Star PG in Lowry - PGs in basketball hit the wall like RBs in football - and Lowry is getting 'up there'. When did Kawhi Leonard become the 2nd coming of Dr. J? Because he had a couple of great seasons under arguably the greatest coach in 'ALL' of sports Pop? I never root for a player to injure himself or wish badly upon anybody - but I'm rooting for this guy to bomb - and I think he'll have a rather subpar season. I go East: 1. Boston 2. Philly 3. Bucks 4. Indy 5. Toronto...... Sorry. My info was wrong. Kawhi was best 3 point shooter on Spurs team at .38 in regular season and .455 in post season was one of the best. But compare that to .266 of DeMar in 2016 and .31 in 2017. No match.
Also, Kawhi was 4th best 3 point shooter in the whole league in 2015-16.
