I've never understood the attraction with this. What is so attractive about a piece of hard, cold metal on a woman? A bikini needs to be soft and made of fabric so you can actually see and feel the shape of the boobs.
Same reason why women in plate armor or other hard pre-shapened materials, such as something Wonder Woman or Batgirl would wear are stupid. Basically you're finding a piece of metal hot.
