Actually, two pieces of advice...

1. First you get a job, then you get money, then you get a woman.

2. If you meet a nice girl, don't marry her too quickly. Live with her for a while first to make sure everything works out.

The advice came from my late aunt, 1917 - 1993, when I was still a teenager in the 1980s.
